After deceiving their parents and hopping the train, their journey took a drastic turn when they discovered that they were across the country without a way home. One of the friends got separated from the others only to find himself in the company of a not so desirable stranger. About the Author

Listening to countless hours of her grandmother reliving her childhood days in Crystal Station, in the early 1900’s brought along with it an overwhelming sense of curiosity for the author to relive those days of long ago. After her grandmother’s death in 1997, she felt a need to fill the void that was left, and to preserve those memories. This being the inspiration for The Bittersweet Journey. Being somewhat of a history buff, she spent many hours researching the family history and finding out as much information as she could on the little town that is no longer in existence. A native of northern Maine, she resides in Patten with her husband and son.
