Skyler popped the lock to the door and walked in.

"Daniel?"

"Skyler, hey man long time.  Still good with locks I see.  Look, sorry about your girl.  If

I''d known she was yours, I would have warned you." Daniel Faber said his spiky blonde hair disheveled from constant manhandling.  He shook Skyler''s hand firmly, his smile was disarming.  He''d helped Skyler set up when he came back from Oxford.  He showed him the best stores for weapons and ammo, the kind of places where no one asked questions  and could always get you what you needed no matter how exotic, or illegal.  There was an unspoken respect between the two, never crossing territories or hits.  However, Daniel sensed this visit wasn''t friendly, he knew the look in Skyler''s eyes all too well.  It was a cold focused look, the look he gave to a person before he put a bullet in their head. Daniel released his hand slowly, tempting fate by turning his back on him.

"You really set yourself up for heartbreak Zane.  First Dilano''s daughter Anna . . .

though that would have been a great business connection, now  this chick.

You know the rules, don''t get involved with anyone; they

could either learn too much, get used against you, or taken from

you." Daniel said with a hopeful grin that slipped a little when he turned back to still see the look firmly sculpted on Skyler''s face.  Daniel ruffled his blond hair nervously.

"Thanks for the advice Daniel.  No hard feelings about Nick, I don''t expect you to do it again."  Skyler said pulling out
