About the Author
Edna Nelkin is a retired jewelry designer and retailer whose career spanned more than thirty years in She is married 58 years to retired optometrist Morton Nelkin. They are the parents of two sons: Jamie, an accountant, who with his wife, Andrea, who live in . She previously created two books, My Family 1982, My Family 1992, and a film focused on family, which are all in the archives of Yivo Institute for Jewish Research. She is her far flung clan''s archivist and historian, having developed and managed two major family reunions, each participated in by two hundred guests, some traveling from other countries and continents. Her 1995 book, Come Sit Beside Me, is a collection of essays and poems reflecting her rich and diverse life.
