JUST AN ORDINARY JOE

The room was huge and silent as a great hush came over its entirety.  The bald headed scientist, wearing the thick bifocals, could hear himself stutter with anxiety as he whispered to his fellow associates.  All eyes were held fast by the distinct and quick flickering of the gigantic computer.

It was soon time for all the world to know the answer to the question it had for generations sought to have answered clearly.

The contents of this elaborate room with its many sophisticated apparatus, was heavily massed by some fifty scientists, physicists, mathematicians and philosophers from all parts of the world.  In each man’s mind, they thought in their own particular language, the same thought;  would it really work?

Would the giant monster of a machine be able to answer such a previously unanswerable question?

These many intellectuals who had assembled this ultimate computer were now about to witness whether or not all their years of toil would pay off for the human race.

The hush which hovered over the room, now became even more evident, as the teletype arms of the machine began to record its answer to the ultimate question.

The question:  How can mankind live on this earth in harmony, without any further wars???

As the letters appeared on the large screen, which magnified their font, the throng of people gathered in the room were struck with awe, as they read...............

1) Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart and soul.

2) Thou shalt love thy neighbor as thy self.
