For the  most part friendship isn't based on rules. However, it's a sticky word for those who don't know what it really means. It's a part of getting to know someone while inviting them into your heart, your life, and your world. It's getting to know the personal things they'll do and things they won't do. Are they a person of morales and values? Do they have goals and dreams? How well do you know them? Are they a follower or a leader? Do they drink, smoke, or do drugs?

It's very important for you to get to know your acquaintances before you actually call them your friends.

If you find yourself stuck and wondering if the person is true, and whether he or she can be trusted only then you lay down your own friendship rules.
