About the Book

These events happened during my life I cannot change them. I have tried to inculcate poems and viewpoints relating to love, pain, hate, racism, society, the whole nine yards. I hope you will entertain my interpretations. I may not be as articulate as some would like, and my writing skills could stand for some improvement, so I ask you to bear with me and try to understand as I express my innermost thoughts. Upon reading this, which I hope you will find intriguing, keep in mind, that I am “Perfectly Sane”… okay maybe “Definitely Insane,” whatever, just read the book. –Darryl E. McCullough

About the Author

Just who the heck is Darryl E. McCullough, and just how sane is he?

This right-winged anti-abortion, anti-hyphenated, anti-daycare, anti-cornrows and braids, anti- homosexual, anti-body-piercing, anti-little boys and grown men with earrings, anti using the word fruition, he’s just plain ole anti, anti, was born in Indianapolis, rooted in Cleveland, now living in Michigan.  He has been therapeutically writing poetry and short stories since he was fourteen. After being published in a few magazines, a few radio appearances, he was motivated to write even more. Trying to juggling fulltime work a family and reaching the completion of his business degree at Eastern Michigan University. He finally compiled all of his writings into the two self- published books entitled, “Perfectly Sane” and “Definitely Insane.”  These two books are polar opposites if you let the author explain it, as they represent different times in his life, different outlooks and bias opinions.  These double-trouble books so to speak that he created, laid the foundation for this poetic mind to flourish.  Despite the books being riddled with his bias opinions and anti-isms, the author is definitely pro-sexual expression, as he poetically describes in many of his writings.

Eventually discovering that he could no longer confine his thoughts within the restraints of a poem or short story, he found the joy of screenwriting, which is a whole other chapter in his life.  Darryl E. McCullough feels “What is a film other than a very long poem brought to life!”  The debut of his first short-film effort will be available by the winter of 2006.
