This is not the induction for this the book.So I prophesied as I was commanded. And as I prophesied, there was a noise and, behold, a shaking, and the bones came together, bone to his bone. (Ezekiel 37:7)
God told the prophet Ezekiel to show the people of the world there is nothing that is impossible for Him to do. God is saying to all people that when their lives are broken, He puts their brokenness back together and restores them completely. What good news this is for all people to know. There is someone who has the power to take all the broken pieces of life and to give that broken person a new start. Many things can cause a person’s life to be broken and in need of help. Some people encounter life’s problems with the mentality of a child who thinks that when something is broken, it is lost and cannot be fixed. They subscribe to a defeatist attitude that says all is lost. However, there is always hope. Life is never like the children’s rhyme: “Humpty-Dumpty sat on the wall; Humpty-Dumpty had a great fall, and all the king’s horses and all the king’s men couldn’t put Humpty-Dumpty together again.”
Accepting disappointment or disruption in life with the attitude that things cannot be put back together is negative, defeating the person no matter what position anyone takes.
One must never accept interruption in life as a defeat. An interruption should be seen as nothing more than a stumbling block. Stumbling blocks are opportunities to advance if you use them as stepping-stones to do bigger and better things. Failures in life must be looked at as learning experiences for persons who know they have the power of God in them to meet any challenge. The power of God in you will enable you to pick up the pieces of every bad experience and put your life back together.
Experiencing the magnificent power of God is the most wonderful experience in life; the extraordinary power of God working in believers through his Son, Jesus Christ. Christ is the answer to what appear to be unsolvable problems. In 1982, my wife was diagnosed with breast cancer and had surgery to remove the tumor. The surgery disclosed it was not localized, as the tests had indicated. The prognosis was clouded and did not offer much hope.
