About the Author

    Veverly Twykihee is a gifted poet that has been writing since the age of ten.  She was born in St. Louis Mo and attended the St. Louis, city schools.  She continued to fulfill her dream to become a published writer after high school. She later took a journalist glass to enhance her gift as a poet, novelist and screenplay writer.  As a writer, Miss Twykihee has earned the respect of many especially children. She writes to motivated adults to remind them how important our children are to our future. Her poetry has changed many lives over the years and bought many smiles to many sad faces.

    To meet her is to find gold. Her greatest inspirations in the past came from the late Helen S. Rice, a black inspirational poet and the renowned Maya Angelou. As she continued to venture in the fields of writing, she was later motivated and moved by children, animals and her insight of life itself.  Miss Twykihee hopes to continue to move forward in her writings changing and motivating the lives of many.
