About the Book
Can you “honor” your father if you’ve never seen him? Can you “honor” your father if you’ve never heard him? Can you “honor” your father if you don’t know him as the person he is? Not as an unknown father figure, but him? What does “honor” mean? It doesn’t say obey, trust, mind, love, visit, or respect. It says “honor.” What does “honor” mean? The dictionary definition is … respect. In 1996, I discovered I had a dad. I was thirty-six years old. I never had a father to honor. I never knew him. I never heard him. I never saw him. How could I honor this stranger?
About the Author
The author of this book, Ted Lewis, is a real genuine soul with a heart of pure gold. I know, for he is my brother.
This book is the story of the pain in his life after finding the man whose name he carries yet never knew. It is about the struggles and joys of a journey that taught him a real meaning to what it means to “Honor thy father.”
This story could have been contained but had to be written. The Bible says, “Out of the abundance of the heart, the mouth speaks.” Well, in this book, Ted’s mouth speaks, along with his heart, and he shares this portion of his heart with you, the reader.
