About the Book
Frank Buchar has written Super Skills for Supervisors to make supervisory skills as accessible as possible to both new and experienced supervisors. His work with thousands of supervisors and managers in his professional consulting career has given him special insights into the supervisory role. The supervisors depicted in these pages are based on real-life individuals though the names and circumstances have been altered slightly to illustrate the concepts.
About the Author
Frank Buchar has worked internationally as a supervisory/management consultant. As a business writer for newspapers and various training periodicals, he cites the crucial role of the Supervisor as being “the most strategic position in an organization despite it being a role suspended between management and employees. Supervisors are on the fault line between management and employees, pressured equally by both groups and expected to perform miracles with little incentive- usually for only a ten or fifteen per cent uplift in salary. There is not a position in any organization that is caught by so many pressures from both above and below.”
