About the Author

Jacqueline Ward Barrett has lived all her life in the northeastern United States, growing up in the Philadelphia suburbs, moving to the New Jersey Shore and later, to New York State. She received her Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from Kutztown University of Pennsylvania. Ms. Barrett spent twenty years working in the graphic design industry and is the recipient of numerous awards and industry accolades for her portfolio of work.

Since her move to New York with her husband and daughter, she has focused on creative interests, such as writing and photography. Ms. Barrett is currently in the process of publishing several other children’s books, which focus on the spirited resiliency of young children and their adaptability to life’s circumstances.
