About the Book

Psychologist A. Jack Jernigan describes his training and work at four Veterans Administration Hospitals.  The story samples the economic, sociological, and psychological characteristics of the post World War II era and how psychologists served and can serve in V A Hospitals.

The story begins with a veteran of World War II meeting a young lady, their courtship, and marriage.  The couple move from Texas to Kentucky where he received a Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology through the joint Veterans Administration – University of Kentucky program.  They return to Texas in time for the birth of their first of three children.

This is A. Jack Jernigan’s third book.  Jack and wife, Jean celebrate 58 years of marriage in 2005.
