About the Author
Richard Peifer is deeply devoted to dogs...and cats too. Although this book features a pair of Dalmatians, he is no ‘dog snob’ and has adopted and loved mixed-breeds from the local animal shelter as well as one tiny, black, walk-in stray.

A former English teacher, the author hopes that won’t be held against him by anybody who suffered with composition papers splattered with red-ink comments.
Often professionally restless, in addition to working on and running a weekly newspaper, he has taught at NYU; high school in Great Neck, Long Island; in California colleges as well as years in Kenya classrooms.
