About the Author

I have written several stories and I have taken classes in Creative Writing at our local college; however Doreen’s Mountain Home is close to my heart as it is based on my mother’s life. Life was far more simple back then when we didn’t have TV or other means of entertainment. She loved to read and encouraged me to read as well. I felt I had to put her story in book form, as I am sure she would like to pass it on to you, the readers. I am lucky to have a good memory like she has and have stored these memories deep inside until I felt the right time to share them with the world. I have embellished in places and have changed the names of the family so as not to offend anyone.
