About the Book
Black Americans are limiting every effort so-called Black leaders are making toward a better
While we make up only 12 percent of the population of this nation, we are directly responsible for the murder of 95 percent of Black murdered victims in this country.
There is a reason to be mindful of racism, but not to the point of not realizing our own dreams. Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. had a dream that one day Black people would achieve just as much as Whites in this country. We have got to realize that Dr. King’s dream is very possible, only if we work together toward solutions to not only stop Black on Black crime, but Black children dropping out of school.
About the Author
David Glen Bowman was born the middle child of nine children. He was not by any means the smartest, but was the most depended on by the others in times of crisis.
He was a child full of hopes and dreams, only to learn that being Black would make it harder for him. At 40 years of age he realized that harder didn’t mean impossible. He had to make a change within himself. He had to stop his Black way of thinking and stop blaming white people for his mis-opportunities.
There’s just too many Blacks living the American dream for him to believe that being Black means being poor in this country. He has learned simply that being Black is not an excuse anymore, but a reason to work harder than everyone else.
