HER BODY: The Force of relativity
“In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth.
And God said, let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth.
And the LORD GOD formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul.
And the LORD GOD said, it is not good that the man should be alone; I will make him a helpmeet for him.
And out of the ground the LORD GOD formed every beast of the field, and every fowl of the air, and brought them unto Adam to see what he would call them: and whatsoever Adam called every living creature, that was the name thereof. And Adam gave names to all cattle, and to the fowl of the air, and to every beast of the field; but for Adam there was not found helpmeet for him. And the LORD GOD caused a deep sleep to fall upon Adam, and he slept: and he took one of his ribs, and closed up the flesh instead thereof; And the rib, which the LORD GOD had taken from man, made he a woman, and brought her unto the man.
And Adam said, this is now bone of my bones, and flesh of my flesh: she shall be called woman, because she was taken out of man;
‘Even every one that is called by my name: for I have created him for my glory, I have formed him; yea, I have made him.” GENESIS 1:1,26; 2:7,18-23; ISAIAH 43:7
“GOD”…that three-letter name brings a pause to all of creation. Silence reigns supreme and a deafening silence at that while adrenaline runs high and goose pimples bathe the skin. The working of nature and the universal order screeches to a halt and creation recedes to the background of insignificance. All is silent. All is dark. All is lifeless.
“In”, steps God with grandeur and quintessential majesty bringing meaning, giving form and a definition to all that matters in mortality-beginning. He set the stage, paved the entrance and designed the platform on which to present a grand purpose: creation.
All the exegesis of Omniscience cannot unravel Him who is from everlasting to everlasting; He who makes darkness His pavilion and rides upon the wings of the wind; whose splendor the language of man cannot define. Our vocabulary would not suffice to accord Him due adoration. We stand helpless with words when we come to worship Him. The immortal one who inhabits eternity was preparing a stage where He could bring the mystery of infinity to manageable proportions. In the creation of the heavens and the earth God was making known, in a condensed form, His eternal power and Godhead being understood by the things that are made (Roman 1:20). The heavens comprising the planets, stars, the sun and moon with an asbestos of cloud formation covering the expanse of space above; the earth with its teeming population of creatures bubbling and thrusting with life, an ecosystem of biodiversity communicating in countless ways, giving their version of praise and gratitude to their Creator and Sustainer. The planets and constellation of stars in galaxy up high, the sun and moon riveted to their socket in orbit, all summing up our awesome milky way and revolving around the Center of all centers-the throne of the most High God!
The blend of creation in the heavens and the earth which makes up the natural world can be seen in many ways, as a cathedral built with God’s own hands (Hebrews 3:4). Entering that sanctuary on a warm spring morning, we can sense that all of nature joins with us in worship of the Creator. Earth and heaven reflect His rays, stars and angels singing their praise. Peals of thunder, field and forest, flashing sea and flowing fountain. All His works surrounding Him; Center of unbroken praise.
As the ages roll on, the heavenly bodies are ever in motion, the moon revolving round the earth, the earth with other planets revolving round the sun, the sun with all the other solar systems joined by countless other creations, all unknown to man, revolving in awful grandeur around the Center of all centers: the throne of the Almighty!
It took five days of divine effort to erect this cathedral of creation. However, grand as it appeared, this sanctuary of praise was not complete without the voice of a rare species to crown the harmony. Walking down the aisle of that sanctuary to the sixth row of days, God introduced a unique clause. “And God said, let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion… upon the earth.” A consensus of the triune and true God was reached
