Opening Comments
Perhaps there are those of you who have read my first book, titled “Noodling and Canoodling Around”? It pretty much ended abruptly in order to rush to print. Ha!
This spasm is an effort to bring you up-to-date, at this point in time, with some of the rest of the story. From say the 1990s up to the present and thrown in some previous stuff omitted in my first endeavor.
I have learned by trial and error that I cannot be responsible for correctly editing my own works. The costs to halt the presses and make simple corrections is a very expensive undertaking. Live and learn. So be it!
Anywho, here goes the first of many idiotic, shameful tales from the past and several which I have for some unknown reason made the mistake of reducing to writing to my regret.
My Mother, God rest her soul, always said, “Do not put anything in writing which may be kept and can come back to haunt you.” I’m good at denying saying things. Ha!
Oh, pardon my French, to hell with it, here it goes and you only live once. Correction, I believe that I have lived in the past and have been reincarnated. There are many examples of mysterious things which I have done over which I have no logical explanation. Been there, done that.
My dreams carry me to ancient civilizations in color and I walk the streets with the population and it seems that I have been there and know what it is all about. There are beautiful hills, mountains, rivers and exotic buildings and faces of the people whom I have never seen before.
Sometimes, I am transported into the future and see amazing structures, means of transportation, pretty clothing on some beautiful looking people.
I read some place or saw dreams discussed on TV in which I learned some great advice. There is no reason to go through a frightening dream experience and to become extremely excited and fearful for one’s life. All one has to do is to stop, interrupt the bad dream and say to yourself, “Hey, get outta here! This is my dream and I will not be put through this agony and crap.”
I choose a nice calm scene and float into those surroundings and I am as happy as a jaybird. Works for me.
Things that I do that you may find useful.
Acupressure
1) I use the following technique to stop and remove a headache: First, dig your right thumb into the space between the left thumb and your index finger. Dig in deep for five seconds. Release and count to four. Do it again until it hurts for five seconds. Rest again and dig hard for five more seconds. Violá, headache gone!
2) To calm down, take your mind off of something or anything troubling you, lightly take your right thumb and index finger and touch the left thumb lightly. Your mind switches to another feeling and the former gone.
3) If you have pain some place on your body, take your middle finger and dig your fingernail into your thumb. That becomes the replacement for the previous ache and the pain, which is forgotten.
