About the Author
Charles Walton is President of Walton Electronics. He presently does independent research and development. Formerly he was vice president of Schlage Electronics, and prior to that spent twenty years in new product development for IBM. In 1972 he started his own electronics company, now sold to Westinghouse, which primarily develops electronic devices widely used today for automatic identification by short range radio signals. He holds 45 patents, mostly in electronics. He received the B.E.E. degree from
