About the Book

Book (2) Kids Genealogy Book is the history of kids and their family.  It is their mother and father’s grandparents, great grandparents, and so on.  It is often called “The Family Tree”.  You take the family and place them in order, called generations.  The kids are logging down information with their family members.  What’s different about this book is that the book is aimed directly for the grandparent and the child to spend quality time together and to pass down generational wisdom.  It is family history given directly to the child to log and keep track of.

About the Author

Why would any woman pursue book publishing?  New author, Gilda Chang, of Miami, Florida, says, “Why not?  I saw a market that hadn’t been reached.”  Chang’s determination and attitude have seen her through the publishing process; she’s not afraid of being turned down.  Her books, The Children’s Diversity Diary Books, are books that many children will relate to when they see them.

Gilda began her publishing career when she was unable to find the right books and information for her children.  what she found were overly sentimental books that idealize race and family history.  Gilda was looking for a book that illustrated and gave an understanding about race and family history –a book about ordinary girls and boys.  The children’s book industry seemed to not have an illustration book of this type in the market place.

Chang’s new books, The Children’s Diversity Diary Books are for children who are starting out with a fresh clear mind and willing to learn and understand the differences between humans without preconceived notions.  The books are combined with illustrations and having fun growing up and growing in your own skin, from a realistic viewpoint with a rough edge.
