About the Book

This book was written for the millions of Christians who are finding it difficult to reconcile first-century beliefs with twenty-first century knowledge and understanding.  “Christianity Revisited” opens windows to spiritual vistas that will delight all who are looking for a faith that is relevant to life in today’s world.

In clear and candid language, the author presents his vision of a Christianity that proclaims Jesus’ good news of the kingdom of God, without the bonds of ancient doctrines.

The book is both informative and inspiring.  It addresses a multitude of contemporary questions, from the Word of God to the Second Coming, and from evolution to homosexuality.  One person, who read the original manuscript, called it “a liberating experience.”

About the Author

The author grew up in a conservative Christian home in the Netherlands, and graduated from a Christian high school in 1948.  By that time, he was already challenging religious beliefs that made no sense to him.  Still, after immigrating to Canada, he felt called to the ministry.  He attended college and seminary in the United States, and obtained a master’s degree from New Brunswick Theological Seminary in New Jersey.  He has been a U.S. citizen since 1970.

While in college, the author studied history under a brilliant and broad-minded Baptist professor, who insisted that one should not accept anything as true without personal confirmation, including matters of faith.  Inspired by her vision, the author has made the pursuit of spiritual truth his life’s ambition.
