Noble Drew Ali was born Timothy Drew Jan. 8, 1886.  He returned to the Essence July 20 1929 his remains are located in Chicago’s Burr Oak cemetery.  There are many accounts regarding Noble Drew’s parentage.  One account says his mother was Cherokee Indian and his father was Moroccan, another states his parents were ex slaves, and yet another claimed his father was a Moabite and his mother a Canaanite.  At any rate, sometime around or a little while after his 7th birthday, he was adopted and raised by Cherokee Indians.

Noble Drew manifested in Simpson North Carolina, the city was Greenville (not to be confused with Greensville or Greeneville), the county of Pitt.  Drew was born near a mysterious triangle of Moorish sounding locations, to the northeast of Greenville there in lies Mooresville North Carolina to the northwest lies Morristown Tennessee and Morganton N.C.  This area is not where Drew was raised (western N.C.).  Which is the mountainous terrain that many so-called renegade Cherokees escaped during the “Trail of Tears”.  In 1839 President Andrew Jackson signed the Indian removal Act to relocate the western tribes west of the Mississippi River.  Cherokees would flee to northwest N.C. to escape capture.  Interesting enough to the south of Simpson N.C. there is a crossroads called Ham’s.  The prophet Noble Drew Ali was a man of small stature and medium in complexion and skin tone.  Drew has been described as a self-taught man of eloquence and urban savvy.

Noble Drew’s teachings appealed to me because the teachings did not come from one doctrine.  Studying the teaching of Drew Ali I was personally brought to an education outside of the mainstream educational system.  His teachings stimulated me in the direction of esoteric disciplines (Theosophy, Hermeticism, Rosicrucianism, Sufism, Alchemy, Freemasonry etc.).  Noble Drew Ali didn’t have much of a conventional education; which was a blessing, he didn’t have to deal with the obvious contradictions with mainstream his-story and the story of the Moors/Muurs.  Until Drew Ali compiled his special teachings, some of which is found in the “Aquarian Gospel of Jesus the Christ” and “Unto Thee I Grant” the Moors and the larger aboriginal community had no real concept of the Christ’s life between the ages of 12 and 30.  Nor did they have a sense of their true self and identity.

Noble Drew has often been accredited with bringing Islam to North America.  I believe he is that and much more.  Nobel Drew brought North American Moors (aboriginals) a new way of thinking.  He opened doors to other knowledge centers that weren’t necessarily Christian in it’s doctrine, when Drew implored recognition and respect for Muhammed, Christ, Confucius, Buddha and all the Prophets on his nationality cards, it brought about a certain awareness to other cultures and sciences (namely the Moroccan Empire).  Noble Drew’s Masonic background illuminated esoteric avenues the people might never have found.  So it was not just Islam only, but for all the higher sciences.  He brought about the awareness of self (know thy self and the Father God Allah).  Drew made people realize it is your responsibility to maintain good health, he did this through his Moorish Manufacturing Corporation, Drew produced
