WHAT IF----this concept of Consciousness is indeed true? Then we could truly say that because we “believe” our sensory perceptions of the universe and everything in it, they become our “word(s)ideas” and are ‘made manifest’ accordingly. And this would include our perceptions and interpretations of the so-called evil that we, in our judgment-making capability, believe exists in our ‘reality’— the “reality” that is created via our Consciousness/God.
WHAT IF-----all cultures world-wide came to this understanding of their “Creator”? What would we do for wars, racial conflicts, gangs, sex and violence, and even politics?
WHAT IF ----you could choose absolute peace? Would you do it? In such a state consciousness there would be no ups or downs in emotions, no positive vs negative, no happiness vs sadness, no exciting thrills or scary chills. Boring? So perhaps on second thought you might not choose absolute peace, so what do you choose? Or do you believe you have no choice? But there is always a choice. You consciously choose your friends, your food, your clothes, what time you get up in the morning, your car, your TV programs, your thoughts, your actions, etc. How about the subconscious choices? Usually we don’t re-cognize those, but psychologists and psychotherapists say otherwise. Do you believe that you have chosen, either consciously or subconsciously, the life you are now experiencing? Do you believe in the scriptural admonition Be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind? (Romans 12:2).
WHAT IF -----the previously discussed “I AM” is the Creative Principle represented in all of the names for “God”? Then every time I use the words “I” or “I am” I am invoking that Creator, God, Allah, etc., and the omniscience, omnipotence, and omnipresence, as well as all of the other attributes of the Creative Principle, at least in the subconscious sense; so it behooves me, and since we are all One, it behooves all of us, to ‘guard our thoughts’. Or one can quote the oft repeated “Be careful what you pray for, you might get it.”
WHAT IF----we did expand our ECON (see Figure 1) through the UCON and ACON. We would then perceive the universe differently, if we did indeed “perceive” a universe at all.. Perhaps we would then understand the meaning of the ancient word maya and would re-cognize the universe as illusory, ‘blinking on and off’ with our blinking human-ness. And as we raised our collective Consciousness, each blink would reveal a better, more loving universe until at last we would all experience Perfect Peace as One Consciousness.
Finale: WHAT IF ----you did expand your consciousness into the ACON and found that you really could do what a Master could do, and more? What then? If there were any remaining “ego” in your consciousness you would probably be tempted to demonstrate your capabilities to the world, even if you told yourself that “Not I, but the Father within, doeth the works.” Or perhaps you would perform these works (miracles?) in a purely un-self-ish way so that the ‘Glory of God/Consciousness’ might be demonstrated.
In either case, the works/miracles would take place in a local universe of time and space and would have the quality of maya. The very fact that a you would experience these phenomena would prevent you from the final, ultimate experience of ‘going to the Father’ because your consciousness would be somewhat “divided.” and you would not be totally in the “cosmic Consciousness” or Christ-Consciousness or “God”-Conscious state.
So what is the final step? Forget about “Consciousness;” forget about belief systems, Eastern or Western philosophies, forget about physics, metaphysics and mysticism. Forget the worldly cause-and-effect phenomena, forget your “self.” BE the one mind—the I AM— that is All. BE that which doesn’t need explanation and is beyond questions and answers. ‘Know Thy Self.’
