THE BEGINNING
Once long ago in a far away place on a distant planet lived a small race of magical creatures known as Sedjals. Sedjals were very powerful, but they were also gentle and peaceful. One day a group was playing and enjoying the late afternoon warmth by a clear blue stream.
One of the Sedjals sat down to rest by the stream. While it sat by the stream it studied on the thought of creating a new form of life. So the Sedjal left it’s planet streaking through the universe faster than the speed of light. It was looking for a planet to start a new life form. After a couple of weeks zooming through the vast universe the Sedjal finally found the perfect planet. It was located in a star system known as Situris.
The Sedjal named the planet Delfy. Delfy circles two suns. Delfy itself is circled by three moons. There was no plants or water on the surface, nothing grew there. But it was dotted with small caves that lead to the inside of the planet. The planet Delfy was not completely solid. There are a lot of under ground caverns of various sizes. Most of the caverns are connected to each other. All living things are in the caverns. The caverns are where the lakes and ponds are
THE SEARCH FOR A NEW HOME
Their sleep that night was restless. Part of them slept while others stayed awake on silent vigil. Every once in awhile the smell from the river would drift in their direction and wake up those that were sleeping. Finally dawn had arrived and they all got up and stretched their bodies to get out the knots in their muscles and the kinks out of their joints. They noticed that the smell from the river was getting stronger. They knew that they had to leave and knew that there was only one direction to go, which was downstream. So it was with heavy hearts that they looked around the area that had been their home since the beginning of their existence some time ago.
They stayed as close to the cliff as possible because of the smell the river was producing. It was rough going at the time because the area had been badly affected by the ground tremors as well. Every few hours they would stop and rest for about fifteen to twenty minutes, then they would start out again with sadder hearts because they were moving further and further away from the area they had called home. They continued to travel until it started growing dark. They stopped by a small cave that would shelter them from the weather during the night but they were afraid to sleep inside because they were afraid that another ground tremor would hit during the night while they slept and would become trapped or worse crushed by a cave in
