I’ve told you some about how my life in the present, now let me give you some background on how it was in the past. My past goes something like this: it had been a year since my heart had been broken to a thousand pieces by a man I had loved and dedicated my life to for 8 years. It had been almost a year since I’d seen this man and about 8 months since I had even spoken to him. The man who broke my heart was everything to me, we went waaaaaay back, and I do mean waaaaaay back. He was one of my dearest friends for 10 years before we even got together, then he was my best friend, I thought he would always be my friend. Thinking back he really was not my friend, cause let me tell you something, a man, if he doesn’t start out being your friend, if he first has sex with you, he cannot then become your friend. Have I lost you yet? You see this man and I had been together at a young age. The fling was short-lived but we remained what I thought was friends for 10 years until we found each other again. Anyway this man was my partner, my confidant, my lover, my cheerleader, my daughters ”dad” needless to say, when I lost him, I didn’t just lose the man in my life, oh no honey, I lost so much more I wanted to die. It took a very long time for me to get over this man. It was through the grace of God, some things that I will share with you shortly and a very, very special Godly man who became my best friend and this time I knew what was a best friend. God use this man to show me what I wanted and needed in a man in such a way that in a matter of months I was over the one who had been in my life. I have heard it said that it takes a certain number of years per number of years you were in a relationship to get over it. I am here to tell you that that is a lie from the pit of hell and we can’t fall for it. You can get over a relationship, no matter how long it was as soon as you decide to get over it. Anyway, back to the past, I could not think about it without thinking about “him”—the man who had been in my life. I guess you could say that I didn’t want to think of the past because deep inside of me I knew there was something I had to face. I mean, I was doing well, I was tough, I was looked up to, but really was I over it? I realized that I had put everything behind me, but still I had not dealt with it. Of course God is faithful to keep his promise and had to carry on to completion the good work he had began in me and could not until I had dealt with it.
What a Man Wants
Girlfriend, don’t let a guy fool you, guys will keep quiet about it and not let you know, they might make us think they want a “wild thing” a woman of experience, if you know what I mean, but they really love it when they have found a woman who is keeping herself pure. A woman living in purity these days is a rare find, one that is very valuable. A man values this kind of woman, because she will be interesting, and a complete mystery. Oh and how it boosts a man’s ego to think he could have something no one has been able to have, her heart is something he will want. Not to mention how it will excite his imagination. Now when you have given a man everything including your body too soon, you have done away with interest, you are no longer a mystery, and your value decreases. I experienced this first hand when I learned my value decrease significantly, after the guy I had given myself to completely, left me for a woman he had found who had been living in purity. Let me tell you this is not a good feeling, take heed for my wish for you is that it’s something that you never have to live through. So you see if you want a man, don’t let him know about all your experiences, what you did with who and surely don’t show him what you can do. Let his own imagination take him where you will not, and keep him interested in what he could have. Attract a man with your purity and Godliness; let him see your passion for the Lord and the Holy Spirit working in your life and you will keep him around for good.
So what if it doesn’t happen quite like this? What do you do? I’ll tell you what you do not do, you do not compromise for less then what God has for you, do this and the man you’ve met will be drawn to God, his determination to win your affection once he has realized what a rare find you are will
drive him to it. Rejoice and give thanks and praise to God for making you a woman, for it is a blessing and such a wonderful thing. In case you didn’t know, in God’s masterpiece of creation, you are a very important, integral part. For that reason, he has fashioned you very delicately, fearfully, wonderfully and purposefully. That you are a woman is a magnificent gift. Don’t get me wrong, a man is a wonderful thing, a magnificent gift, but a woman….there’s a certain something about her. She is so many things. She’s a work of art, a creature of rare beauty, a priceless jewel. As a woman, you must know what you are worth beyond a shadow of a doubt. You are precious, unique, exquisite
