When I was forty, I attended a local college where I received my Associate Degree. I took a class called "Child Abuse and Neglect." At the same time my Sunday school class was involved in a series on "Adults that were raised in an alcoholic environment." Therefore, with the seriousness involved in both classes, I recalled a scene at our house on
I was totally crushed. He was my lifeline. He never made fun of me. He was my safety net from my mom, my sister and my brother. And now he was gone.

Is a true account of a fifty-year struggle to overcome the harsh rejection of an alcoholic mother. Which precipitated a tedious journey of damaged emotions, low self-esteem, low self-worth, and a distrust of the entire human race.
The Author takes us through each stage of her distorted and chaotic life as she struggles to ascertain some sort of normalcy.
While on her journey she discovers that she has become every thing that her mother spoke repeatedly to her as a child. Which lets us know that the spoken word is very powerful. It can either make us or break us. Truly we are a product of our environment.
By the time the Author discovers her predicament, she works diligently to reverse the process of destruction.
Is it possible for a person to be raised in such an abusive and neglectful environment and yet overcome?
About the Author
Donna is currently celebrating life, and after taking two years to write, TRAPPED Self-fulfilling Prophecy, she has come to grips with the notion that "the very thing we despise in others is usually what we possess ourselves."
She credits the discovery of her identity and restored self-esteem and self- worth to her faith and walk with God.
She took the initiative to go back to school because she understood the importance of getting an education in order to survive in this life.
She is now in mid-life and for the first time ever she has a sense of great expectations.
She is a very creative and talented individual who loves simplicity. Donna says she will not stop dreaming and that she has more projects in store for us.
