Because I like Cowboys

Cowboys are trustworthy, strong, hardworking, truthful and dependable. If a cowboy tells you something, you can count on it. You may like what they say; you may not like what they say. But you can be guaranteed that they will do what they say. Make no mistake, a cowboy will tell you what they think with no bull. They do not talk out of both sides of their mouth.

Every one living west of the Mississippi River owes the cowboys and people like them a debt of gratitude. Their ability to tame the West opened this country to average families.

The opponents of President Bush call him a cowboy as if it's a bad thing. I like having a man who possesses the attributes of a cowboy in the Oval Office. How about you?

Because of Gun Control

Many of the liberal politicians are promoting some kind of federal gun control. They blame the high level of crime, including murders and gang violence on guns. They also blame the gun industry for making guns that work.

Blaming guns for murders is like blaming the filing cabinet at work for loosing files. The filing cabinet is an inanimate object, subject to proper use by people. Guns are

The same, a gun has never picked itself up, gone to a liquor store, and shot the cashier. It was the bad guy who did.

Are the liberal politicians who advocate more gun control so stupid they cannot understand it’s the people, not the guns? I don’t think so. For some inexplicable reason they do not want to promote punishment for the criminals who do the crimes. The answer to gun violence is not getting rid of guns; it’s getting rid of criminals.

Please understand that the criminals are not going to follow any new gun control law. The law-abiding citizens are the only ones who will follow the new laws. If they are not currently breaking the laws, why should we take their guns away? We shouldn’t.

I  remember hearing about Australia having their murder rate go through the roof after they outlawed private gun ownership. The bad guys did not turn in their guns, only the good guys.

Don’t let the liberal politicians get away with blaming the filing cabinet any more.
