About the Book

Mystery thought her life was good. Her relationship with God was strong, she had a good friend, and loving parents. But, one fateful night would turn her world upside down when she was attacked and raped. Her once strong and stubborn character was now in a war against fear and trepidation. But, she resolved that she would handle life on her own and on her own terms. Then she met the most egotistical, audacious, handsome man. She really didn’t need this in her life right now. Or did she?

Christopher hadn’t believed in love at first sight until he caught sight of Mystery for the third time. He knew it must be fate that had brought her into his life. She was beautiful and had a character that he admired. She wasn’t afraid to mince words with anyone. There was an instant connection to her that he didn’t understand. But, even her stubbornness and inner strength faltered with the antics of someone who wanted to make her life miserable. Her biggest obstacle to overcome though was to give her heart to someone. And whether Mystery liked it or not, he would help her conquer her own reluctance to love.

About the Author

Since a small child I’ve dreamed vivid and dramatic dreams. One night, I had an exceptionally good dream. When I awoke, I thought how the dream could be made into a novel. My husband, David, suggested and encouraged me to take my dream and write a book from it. I began that very day and could hardly be pulled away from my computer to tend to my daily duties as both wife and mother, and my tendency toward ADD kept me jumping from cooking supper to typing as quickly as my fingers could go. But, when I finished the story, I read a small portion to my youngest child, Shane (I have two loving children). He wrote me the sweetest letter that said “Mom, that was very good.” Tears nearly came to my eyes that in spite of all the time it took for me to write my book he still had encouraging words and a very warm hug.

I enjoy taking real life hardships and disappointments and showing that there is a rainbow beneath the storms that can rage in our life. And that sometimes these trying trails can bring us to better things.

I’ve heard that when a person writes that it’s best to write what you are familiar with. So, my story is based in Florida where I was born and raised. My husband was also born and raised in Florida. It wasn’t exactly love at first sight between us. We grew on each other with time until finally one day we couldn’t get enough of each other’s company. Living 10 minutes apart wasn’t good enough. We called each other on the phone and would talk for hours, which drove my father crazy. So, at the young age of 20 we got married. We have had such a wonderful, tender relationship for 19 years that I wanted to share some of my happiness with others. I wanted other people to feel what I feel each time my husband steps into the room. How my heart skips a beat and my lips smile a private smile that the man that walked through the door could still win my heart with his presence. So, my book is written to share not only my dreams but also my happiness to know that there really is a lasting true love.
