About the Book

“Life is formed by bits and pieces of living:

those bits and pieces form our lives.”

Jeannette Jones Davis

Having The Time Of My Life chronicles the author’s life from St. George, South Carolina to Washington, D.C. The story not only portrays her life but it includes places, faces and occurrences of an historic nature of those times - of that era. Also included are anecdotes from the lives of her siblings and others.

This stroll down memory lane evokes many recollections - some pleasant, others disturbing. It is a journey that takes many directions, detouring around the difficult roadblocks of life, meandering over the hurdles, and enjoying the welcome straight-aways.

Told in colorful and humorous but sometimes serious fashion, this collage details the joy and pain, laughter and sadness of growing up in the rural south (South Carolina) and in the “Big City” (Washington, DC). And the story takes the reader beyond those early years as it peeks into adulthood, career choices and pursuit of the “great American dream.”

Having The Time Of My Life: SC to DC promises to inform, enlighten and entertain. The book has received outstanding reviews and is A MUST READ!

. . . these were the best of times and the worst of times –

they were “The Times of My Life.”

About the Author

Maggie R. Boyd Williams hails from the small town of St. George, South Carolina. She migrated to Washington, D.C. at an early age, received her education there and has lived there continually.  Her career path led to AARP and its Pharmacy Service where she was employed for 35 years.

The author has always been a voracious reader. However, although she has been inclined to dabble with pen and pad over the years, My Life is her first published work.

A bundle of energy, Maggie is actively involved with her church, community, high school reunion committee and a dance group. She enjoys traveling but her favorite pastime is taking in the theatres and museums in D.C.
