You are unique, one of a kind.  Do you realize that there is no one else in the world like you?    It is awesome to be different from others, but sometimes when low self-esteem is present you tend to forget this important fact.

Sometimes you feel like it is important to look like everyone else, to talk like everyone else and to do the things that others are doing. Often times you fall in with the crowd and are tempted to do negative things that you really do not want in your life. Do not give in to the temptation, believe in yourself and make good choices.  The need to “fit in where one can get in” becomes important and sometimes you lose sight of your identity.

One way to achieve high self-esteem is to have dreams and aspirations.  Dreams can come true!  In order to achieve these dreams you must set goals.    One definition of a goal is to take a mental image and turn it into a material object.  For example, if you want to make all “A’s” in school, you have to see the report card with the “A’s” already there.  Then you have to make a plan on how to achieve this goal.  First, set the goal and seek guidance from people that can help you reach your goal.  In this case you could ask your teacher what would be needed to achieve the goal for your grades.  Second, you will need to have all of the materials necessary to meet the goals.
