If Dreams Were Thunder

If Dreams Were Thunder is Rich’s first published book of poetry.  The poems were written over a span of several years.  They are generally about Nature, science, meditation and recovery principles, with some short and humorous poems thrown in.  These poems were written after a period of self-improvement induced by a life crisis directly related to the author’s unique set of character flaws.  The author wishes not to bore readers with a list of those flaws, although some may be evident upon careful reading of these poems.  The purpose of this body of poetry is therapeutic, and hope believes others with crises in their lives may benefit from reading them.

The author was born in the Southwest in the mid-1950s, and raised in the Midwest.  Of course, the family of origin was dysfunctional.  He is married to a lovely nurse with two college-aged children.  Trained as a professional, he tries to ignore that training when writing to avoid stifling his muse.  Work continues to interfere with his hobbies, which include hiking, flying and scuba.  The next book of poetry is in the works, at a pace wholly determined by his muse.
