HAMBURGER HORROR
As the morning came so quickly
looking over the horizons at the city as the skies lit up like a ball of
fire. Now another typical working day
begins in New York City for the
millions of people waking to a beautiful summer day. Mike is already coming in
to work early in the Williams Meat Market and Packing Plant Company with his
fellow men already waiting for Mike to arrive.
Mike says to everyone "Good morning, guys." As he enters the workers reply "Good
morning boss." I can see that everyone
is here on this beautiful morning.
"Mike, what is so good about it?" Another worker replies. Mike looks at us all and smiles as he says to
he fellow workers, "What's the matter with you guys?" "Oh nothing, Mike" replies the
men. Mike went on to say "Well guys
we have been doing our work in this old warehouse for too long,
and I wish that we could do our work out here. As I look around everything
looks so nice and very pleasant on this beautiful morning. It's a shame that we all have to do our work
inside this old broken down warehouse isn't it guys". The workers then
replied and said "Right Mike, this is not one of those newer
warehouses. It's still the same old
warehouse, Mike, but it's not too bad for us to work in, Mike since it's the
only one in our area. We might as well make do with this one Mike." I know that, you guys, but I do not think
that the company would give us an answer on a newer one, not for a long time. Come on you guys now that all six of us are
here we now better get off our butts and get some work done before it gets too
late and we waste anymore time because if we do waste anymore time, I know that
our own customers out there will buy the new meats and no one yet knows that we
are going to be putting these new burgers out in our display counters among our
other fine meat products that we have in stock for the customers that come in
today and see that the new burgers re here will buy them and our other meats
are the one that we are now working for. What they would want from us is our
very best beef to go along with our other good high quality prime choice ground
meat. As we put these burgers in today, to add them with our fine ground meat
will make our customer very happy. Look Mike, we already know that our best
ground beef is the good high quality meat that we can get, plus with the other
meat that we have now, are always the best that anyone from anywhere can buy.
With that, our customer cannot go wrong.
Mike, since we all have been working here we have not had anyone of our
customers on over to anyone of us guys to say anything to us that our meat we
have were bad and that make us all working here know that we are all doing a
very good job. What we all do here is fine work and we all like that, Mike. Now guys, if you all think that you are doing
a good job, it is fine with me but I hope you guys won't be fouling this up by
starting with todays work. But why Mike do you
think that we will be fouling things up for you Mike? You guys look like the type that might do
just that. Listen, Mike we are trying
not to foul things up. We are just trying to do our jobs. That's good, you
guys, but why are you guys not working yet?
Look Mike, we did not have the key to the door. I'm sorry everyone, but
you are right guys so how dumb can I be to forget that it is only me and those
delivery men that have a key to open this old warehouse storage room door. They
at the company won't give out any more keys to anyone else so if I do come in
late anymore, guys, and you are all here waiting to get working inside here,
and I'm not here yet, then you will just all have to wait until I come in
before you all can get to work. That
goes from now on, do you understand? We can
get started as soon as I can open this door and put the lights on and shut off
the alarm and check all of the delivery receipts. I guess you guys already looked at them. Yes, we did Mike. Then it's my turn to go ahead and look at
them. I just want to make a very quick check that the receipts are in the
correct order, but for me I will need to know for sure if they did or not
accidentally foul anything up. As I'm
looking them over, everything seems to check out perfect. Once we all get inside here, we do now need
to get things done around here, so I would want all you so called knuckleheads
to be very darn careful with everything inside here. We also have to inspect
every one of the crates to make sure that they did not damage any of the goods
because all of our customers are going to be the ones that will be buying these
new burgers. Hopefully, the meats we had
ordered from the company are these burgers that have been already delivered to
us this morning are not the good meats that are packaged inside these here
crates would be sent back to the factory.
Mike can we start opening those crates now, then we would all know if
the company had sent us the good meats we had ordered or not. Go ahead you guys. Wait Bubba. Then Bubba
replied, What Mike? Bubba you are a very strong guy now and when you are
opening those crates just do me this now, Bubba. Do not tear the crates apart and leave a mess
on the floor and that goes the same for the rest of you dumb clowns. I do not want to be cleaning up a mess that
you guys happen to leave on the floor in here. I have a very bad back, and my
doctor said to me try not to bend over too much for a while; but my back will
be better soon. I do want my back to get better now, so I will do what he says.
Bubba, then sat his hard hat down on the work table and said, "Boy is it
hot in here." Then Bubba wipes the sweat off of his head and says,
"Mike, listen, we will do a very good job for you and everything will be
done correctly. Bubba then said to Mike
so now go and do whatever you have to now and let us do our work now. Look at this everyone, what is it Bryan? I'm not sure, but I believe it is blood
stains all over the sides of this crate.
Mike I think that it will be better for now if everyone should stay
clear and not touch the crate. Mike
happens to see that only one crate has blood on it and none of the rest of the
crates do.
