For most of us, an abundant life means having a lot more than money alone. We want happiness and freedom in our job or work, joy and harmony in our relationships, a deep connection to our inner spirit, fulfillment and passion in our life experience, and a healthy, physically fit body.
Take a minute right now and think about what an abundant life might look like and feel like for you.
It’s not only possible, it’s also our divine right to have this for ourselves. So why don’t we?
Are we are afraid if we let go of what we have, we might create something even worse, so we settle?
Maybe we simply don’t know what to do to change things, or maybe we’ve tried to change things but find ourselves right back in the same old situations. Maybe we are so used to something being the way it is, it’s hard to imagine it being any different. Our life in effect, has become a habit.
I’m continually amazed at how foreign the concept of letting go is in our society. We are taught to “hang on” no matter what. Hang on to your job; you might not find a better one, especially in today’s economy! Hang on to your relationship; it could be worse! Hang on to the past; don’t forget where you came from! And so on.
I’ve learned that without letting go, absolutely nothing can change. And I’ve learned you can never “lose” by letting go. We’re afraid if we let go of our children, for example, we’ll lose them. And in truth, by letting go we free them to be even closer to us.
Letting go creates freedom – freedom of choice – and choice is the key to conscious creation.
Many of us have found that letting go is a painful process, but it needn’t be. We can let go in our mind, and choose to create a new experience. We can let go of the energy blocking our true happiness. We still keep the wisdom and the knowledge, still have our loving relationships. We simply let go of what’s keeping us stuck in the past.
The world is a cornucopia of everything we could ever want, around us all the time. Yet we sit at the table of life, hungry and wanting more. What keeps us from attracting and manifesting plenty of everything we desire in our life?
I’ve spent the last 20 or so years asking this question and receiving various answers. Allow me to share with you what I’ve learned in the hope that the struggles I’ve experienced will not be necessary for you to experience at all. It really can be easy.
No one alive on the planet today understands everything completely. (And most certainly, neither do I.) If we did, I suppose we’d have no reason to be here! I invite you to use the information in this book that resonates with you, and release anything that doesn’t. When you read something that is right for you, you will know it at the core of your being. It will simply feel “right.” Absolutely honor this feeling – and trust yourself if it doesn’t feel right. Let that go. After all, no one can know what is right for you as well as you do.
