About the Book

It looked like it was going to be one of those weekends when everything was just going to be great.  The sun was shining, business was going okay, I guess, with just a couple of little bugs to work out.  But no real major problems at this point, and then wouldn't you know it?  Things started happening like women with no tan lines and lots of money laying around for the taking.  The only problem was both the good-looking women and all the money had a lot of death connected to them.  Now as for the tan lines, I had nothing to do with all of those beautiful bodies who liked to get tan and lay around in the sun with nothing on.  I'm no prude and I certainly do not object when women, especially beautiful ones, like to parade around in front of me without anything on.  Actually I enjoy it and encourage them to do it as often as they would like, the more the better and that goes both for them and their wonderful gorgeous bodies.

Next comes the money part, oh there was a lot of it out there and it was there for the taking.  Well, first of all it was money that had been gained through the illegal sale of marijuana and other illegal substances, then it had been stolen from the people who had gotten it by selling the stuff in the first place.  Now the people who stole it from the first people were bigger low lifes than the first group of people.

So I figures that if anyone should have it, why shouldn't it be me.  Come on, get real, you would figure the same way only in my case I have the know-how, the means and a lack of conscience when it comes to dealing with bad guys that it takes to pull it off.  That brings up the third item on the list.  Death.  I also am very capable and did leave a lot of death in my wake over the next three days.

My name is Colt Hardin.  I own and run several security businesses in the northern California area.  The year is 1972 and it is a time of free love, drugs, hippies, and a whole generation of people who did not believe the world would last another 10 years.  So they figured to enjoy themselves as much as they could for now because the older generation was going to blow everything up anyway.

This is the first of a series of books about Colt Hardin.  The trouble that he gets into and out of in his own unique way.  He definitely runs into a lot of ladies with no tan lines, death and money.  Whenever you think you have him figured out he will definitely deliver up a surprise ending.
