About the Author
Dan Belton is an ex-marine and a graduate of the University of Idaho. While there he was a record-setting varsity swimmer. After graduation he spent fifteen years in pharmaceutical sales and marketing with a major pharmaceutical company.
After leaving the pharmaceutical industry, he started and operated his own successful resort business, employing a staff of twenty-two.
He spent the last several years as a financial consultant, working for Merrill Lynch, Dean Witter, and Paine Webber. He recently left the financial services industry to devote his time to reading and writing mysteries.
The author once spent eight days canoeing through the rugged Canadian wilderness. Marathon of the Dead is based partially on his experiences during that trip.
He and his wife currently live in the San Francisco bay area.
