I'm lying in bed with the TV on,
thinking, all these reasons to stay and I can't think of any reason to go
except this urge.
Oh, oh, looks like another reason
to stay coming down the lane.
It's the girl that stayed last
night. I put some sweats on and let her
in. We talk for a while and smoke some
roaches. She asks if she can spend the
night, but she has to be at work at
We make love and go to sleep at a
decent time. In the morning we have coffee
on the patio and say our goodbyes. Her
next words still echo in my mind from time to time. "Baby, if you ever need a reason to come
home, let it be that I love you."
HUH!! That's something to think
about.
The truck's all packed. I throw a couple of ten-speeds on the bike
rack, take a shower and get in the truck, put a Lynrd
Skynrd CD in the deck, start the truck, punch in Free
Bird and pull out the driveway.
I hit the nearest highway,
figuring I'd hit the first highway headed south. Oops, looks like I missed the highway, I'm
