Why It Works!

Each of us creates every moment of our entire life by sending out thoughts, feelings, emotions, or declarations into a quantum void, in the form of energy frequency that weaves the universe. The secret--every quantum physicist will tell you nothing exists in the universe except as possibility.  We continually co-create by remaking everything real and touchable.

The search for personal identity comes from a desire to know who are we, really?  Are we more than our physical bodies?   What are we capable?  Why are we here? Is there more to life than being a success at work or having a family?  Is there more than survival? How many times have we looked to the physical world to define us or give us answers to these questions?

Perhaps we need to look beyond the surface or visible world for answers to these questions.  To begin to understand the immensity of what we are, we can engage in the study of biology, genetics, brain functions, physics, philosophy, and psychology along with our inner, unique workings of mental, emotional, and spiritual experiences.  This may be an internal study, private, and often times a mystery.

While attending a lecture on the use of Hypnotherapy in multiple personalities back in the seventies, I had the opportunity to meet the "infamous" Eve.    The book and subsequent movie Three Faces of Eve were based on her life; she astoundingly had as many as 24 personalities. That in it’s self was quite unbearable to her.   One personality had severe, crippling arthritis, one wore bottle-thick glasses, and one played the piano and one a creative artist.  The "Strawberry Lady" would eat strawberries--she loved pink and would decorate an entire room in pink.   Another personality hated strawberries and was allergic to them.

The gist of the lecture was devoted to the therapist's use of hypnosis to integrate these personalities. A fascinating fact about this saga is how each personality portrayed distinct and different behaviors to a point where the biology of her physical presence would change with each transformation.  Read this again.  Videos demonstrated each personality with certain behavioral and biological differences displayed, only moments apart, changed. Here, my quest began to understand what can manifest these differences, so clearly, and so rapidly in the same body...and if understood, produce healing in any body.

In my hypnotherapy practice, some patients would show remarkable strides:  reducing tumors, recovering from strokes and heart attacks--living well beyond the prediction that they would die in a few months, to regenerating use of their body when it was practically destroyed beyond hope?  These questions, and others, sparked a life-long journey to gain knowledge and understanding of the mind/body/spirit connection.

The medical profession considered for a long time that the mind and body were separate, functioned independently, and should be treated as such. Descartes, 17^th century French mathematician and philosopher enshrined this metaphysical divide in what is known today in Western Philosophy as mind/body dualism.

The belief, that the body was sophisticated and driven by machine-like programming lead to the belief that illness was an invasion to the natural system from an outside force.  This thinking resulted in the treatment of disease, and as such, had no room for spontaneous healing. Techniques for curing the body or maintaining health and vitality using the power of the mind were not considered.

Eastern mystical traditions concluded the opposite.  The Mind and Body belong to an indivisible continuum.  When we re-examine, however, the definition of quantum theory, body, brain, emotion, mind, consciousness, love, and the relationship of all of these-- we may have a different picture.  Hang in here now; let’s investigate this new paradigm.

What powers exist in a healer's touch? How do the masters of the Far East control breathing, heartbeat, and skin temperature?  Spontaneous regression? How can tumors disappear overnight? Do I have any control?

Can anyone learn to harness this phenomenon for our own benefit?  We are learning to manage stress, but can the mind somehow transform a crippled, arthritic person to a supple, nimble musician in a moment?  Can a person injured in a bicycling accident-- sustained while traveling at 45 mph and suddenly falling on gravel, impacting the knee, tearing cartilage, dislocating bone, damaging connective tissue...walk normally in 7 days?

Manifesting, is defined by Webster as:

“The act or process of instance of manifesting. Manifest easily understood by the mind; readily perceived by the senses; a future event accepted as inevitable.”  The last one is the one I love most.  You have the power to put forth into your life whatever you choose with purpose. To manifest is to bring into materialism.  Materialism to make material; that which is perceived by the senses, understood by the mind and a future experience accepted as inevitable.
