Are
you willing to surrender a life of flesh for a prosperous life in the spirit of
God? Will you give the spirit of God an
opportunity to embrace you and work wonders in your life? Are you ready to obtain the promises of God?
We
have written this book to share with you the beauty, the awesome power, and the
benefits of living life, in the spirit of God.
Choosing to live life in the spirit and not in the flesh,
is the right choice. It is the only
choice that can guarantee life eternal with Christ Jesus. Life in the spirit is sweet, but life in the
flesh is can be bitter and harsh. Life
itself presents many problems. These
problems upset the flesh and, bring about worries and unbelief. These things will keep you out of the spirit,
and prevent you from excelling in God.
You cannot be saved without life in the spirit. You may say, “I have a spiritual life because
I go to church, because I read my bible, and because I listen to my Pastor”,
but are you really living the word?
Most people have to have what we call a ‘Pep Rally’ to pump them up, to
motivate them, or to get them moving spiritually. You have to realize that the word of God is
the only thing that can help us to make it.
ROMANS
8:1 states: There is therefore now no
condemnation to them which walk not after the flesh, but after the spirit.
To
have no condemnation is to have no guilt or blame. If you are walking after Jesus Christ, there
should be no guilt or blame in your life.
For this reason, we should never be caught with your heads hanging
down. Walking not after the flesh simply
means you are not obeying the flesh or giving ion to it. No good thing, comes
from the flesh. FLESH IS THE REAL
YOU!! You must not give in to
what flesh wants or how it feels. You
are supposed to be walking after the spirit, but you have to obtain the spirit
first. You have to surrender your entire
being to the will of God. This will keep
you from fulfilling the lusts of the flesh.
You may have many thoughts and feelings that are not right, but if you
do not allow them to persist, they won’t become a part of you. Contrary thoughts and feelings generate from
the flesh and when you allow yourself to think and feel the wrong things, you
have given yourself over to the flesh.
Prayer, fasting and consistency in the word of God are the only things
that will kill the flesh.
