About the Book

Wealth Creation and Management From the Introduction to The Ssese Principles “In Greek mythology, Sisyphus, a great warrior, had been condemned by the gods to push a rock to the top of a mountain, where it would of its own weight fall to the bottom. Sisyphus would shove it back up, only to have it roll down, again and again, the process continuing forever. What a torturous existence! The idea was that no punishment could be worse than futile, hopeless effort.” “Unfortunately, many of us today endure a Sisyphus-like existence when it comes to creating wealth and managing our money. Some of us go through life struggling daily to better manage our money and build wealth, making valiant efforts worthy of a noble warrior only to find that our efforts have produced insignificant results and limited options. Like Sisyphus, we try again but often find ourselves in a sad and discouraging cycle. This book, The Ssese Principles, provides principles that come from the word of God, to give us guidance on how to break, once and for all, the ‘Sisyphus Cycle.” “Contrary to what many of us were taught in our religious experience, God is not and never has been against us creating and managing wealth. Nor is He against us building successful businesses and actually enjoying the material possessions that He so kindly blesses us with. What God does caution us about is not to make riches, material gain, and wealth our Gods. He admonishes us not to put anything before Him, His Kingdom, or His Kingdom’s Agenda. As a matter of fact, all that we have, own, say or think is owned by God and is simply loaned to us while we live and should be committed to and invested in His Kingdom.” “Not only is God not against us creating wealth but He goes a step further and provides us the roadmap on how to achieve it! This roadmap, or set of principles, I have termed ‘The Ssese Principles’ based upon a spiritual revelation that God blessed me with during one of my missionary trips to the Ssese Islands of Lake Victoria, East Africa. As I assisted Dr. Samuel L. DeShay in laying the foundation for the vision that God has given him for the development of a portion of the Ssese Islands, I was reminded of the awesome wealth and business wisdom that God has buried in His Holy Word. These age-old nuggets of wisdom, which have withstood the test of time, provide guidelines on wealth creation, wealth capturing, wealth management, and wealth maintenance.” The Ssese Principles puts business executives, entrepreneurs, small business owners, professionals, working class people and church people on the road to success by helping them build wealth in a godly way so they can do well and do good at the same time.
