About the Author

Jennifer Jones is a native of Chicago. She graduated from MSTA Business College with honors. She worked several jobs as a Word Processor and Accounts Payable Clerk, before finding her niche at CTA as a Train Operator which she drove for 14 years before being promoted to Controller and presently working for 2 years. She studied Liberal Art’s at Olive Harvey, St Xavier University, and Columbia College. Her Passion has always been writing poetry and short stories. Two poems from Genuine Black Woman, The Beginning, “As I saw the river,” and “A Child is Born,” Is featured in the National Poetry Society Anthology.
