Army Major Dwayne Williams was affectionately called Fish when he was growing up because he was an excellent swimmer and athlete. From star athlete in his hometown, to college, to Private in the U.S. Army, To Ranger, to an Officer rapidly moving up the ranks, Major Williams displayed strong leadership and moral character that made him a role model. In a twist of fate, Major Williams had been at the Pentagon three months when he was killed on Sept. 11, 2001. A Hero Called Fish will challenge all Americans to live their lives after Sept. 11th in a manner that would make them someone’s hero.


About the Author

Pearl Williams, age 61, is a resident of Jacksonville, Alabama. She recently retired from Jacksonville State University in Jacksonville, Alabama where she worked as a coordinator and police officer for twenty four years. She has a Master’s Degree from Jacksonville State. She is the mother of four sons. Her oldest son, Dwayne was killed at the Pentagon on Sept. 11, 2001.

She is a client of the Nashville Speakers Bureau and has been on the speaking circuit since her son was killed on 09/11/01. She wrote a column for the Jacksonville news for five years.
