About the Book

Prisons Across America is actually a collection of reports on various prisons across the United States.  This book begins with punishment even before there was a prison.  From the very first place of confinement to the latest.  From those old castle like structures to the newest of office building look, I will take you through dark corridors and right into “the hole” and death row.  You will read about the buildings and who built them.  Through Prisons Across America you can experience a little of what it was like in the earliest of institutions and what it’s like today.  To the contrary of what some would say, Prisons are not all alike.  Step into these pages and you see the differences.
