About the Book

Bill Combs is a young man wise beyond his years. The Lord has surely blessed him with wisdom and knowledge to inspire others. In this, his first publication, Book of Poems: Interpretations of the Soul, he has written a collection of poems that expresses many emotions, feelings and situations that readers of all ages will be able to recognize. As he interprets these circumstances, he offers spiritual interventions that can easily be used to uplift, console and encourage.

Bill and his book of poems can serve as a role model and guide respectfully, especially to the younger generation. He has learned at a young age the positive impact one can experience when he/she develops an intimate relationship with God. In his quiet demeanor, Bill is communicating a spiritual message, which is reflected, throughout his poetic interpretations.

About the Author

The author was born in Dallas, Texas in 1977. After spending the first two years of his life in Texas, his family moved to Augusta, Georgia. There he attended elementary, middle, and high school. During his first years of school the author remained an honor student and maintained a position in the top percentile of the class. It was the beginning of his freshman year of high school that he went through a series of medical tests, (due to complaints of pains in his chest). It was recommended that he be screened for a genetic disorder called Marphan's Syndrome. This disorder is composed of minor symptoms culminating with possible heart complications. The author learned from a cardiologist that his heart’s aortic valve was slowly dialating, which could cause his heart to rupture, killing him instantly. He spent the next four years suffering severe depression. He was so preoccupied with dying that he did not prepare for a future. Upon graduating from high school he came to a realization that in order to move forward in life something needed to change. His quest for a better existence brought him to a point of a spiritual awakening. After this experience the author began to re-assess life and live each day to the fullest. He has had many successes and failures in making his new choices in life. This book is a compilation of some of his thoughts and ideas motivated with the perception of hope.
