The Golden Chamber lies deep
within the cave. The entrance to the
chamber is guarded by the Ruby Red Sprite.
A small dainty ruby bell with a gold clapper hangs to one side of the
entrance. Those people who wish to enter
must ring the bell three times. Yet the
adventurers aren't warned that it must be rung three times before one can enter
the golden chamber. Some ring the bell
only one time and some never ring it even once missing the opportunity of
entering this special place.
Moonstar
is exploring. He is striding on a
meandering path in the forest and is on an adventure. Every day is an adventure for Moonstar. His face
is wreathed in smiles. He is going
towards his future. He is looking for
the cave. The Cape
of Many Colored Feathers had
whispered to him about a very special place, the Golden Chamber, inside a cave
where he would meet his future if Moonstar could find
the cave.
"How am I going to find the
cave?" Moonstar had asked the Cape
of Many Colored Feathers.
"You are on your own on this
adventure. I will not guide you
now. You must listen to your inner
voice. Ask your inner voice, it will
answer and guide you."
Moonstar
suddenly stops. He stands still on the
path. He hears an unusual sound. Moaning - he hears moaning.
"What is or who is
moaning?"
Moonstar
walks off the path towards the sound.
"I will go and investigate
maybe I can help whatever is in pain."
He begins running towards the
sound that is getting louder as he approaches it. He runs out of the trees into a small
clearing. Suspended in midair in front
of the mouth of a cave is a bellows - moaning.
Its handles are pumping by themselves pressing together and pulling
apart filling the bellows with air compressing it, pushing it out of the
bellows' small mouth that is producing the disturbing moaning sounds.
"What is the matter?"
asks Moonstar.
"I am singing," replies
the bellows.
"Singing? It sounds like moaning to me," says Moonstar.
"That's because you aren't a
bellows."
"Are you happy?"
"Oh yes, I have just met my
future."
"Is this the cave where
there is a special place inside, the Golden Chamber? I was told by the Cape
of Many colored Feathers I would
meet my future if I could find the cave."
"Yes, this is the
cave. I must continue to sing. Please pardon me, I must return to my
singing."
The moaning - singing
resumed. It depends on who or what you
are if it's moaning or singing.
Moonstar
waved good-bye and eagerly rushed into the cave. Running headlong into the cave Moonstar crashed into a rubber wall and was bounced back to
the cave's entrance landing on his feet.
With his body vibrating in shock of being checked in his forward dash
into the cave and bouncing back, Moonstar was struck
speechless. Slowly recovering his senses
he returned to the clearing shaking his head and sat down. He looked for the bellows. It had vanished.
"This is part of the
adventure." Moonstar declared not at all
disheartened. "Obviously I can't
rush into the cave and expect to get in.
There must be another way to gain entrance. What shall I do? I remember!
I am to ask my inner voice for guidance.
Inner voice...will you help me?
Inner voice...it sounds too impersonal.
Perhaps my inner voice has a name.
I will ask for its name. Inner
voice, what is your name?"
"Eagle."
"EAGLE!!!"
Moonstar shouted.
He was thrilled. "Yes, yes,
yes, that's your name!!!" Leaping
high in the air, flinging his arms wide, he danced a jug, prancing and leaping,
utterly delighted with the name, Eagle.
His inner voice is Eagle. Moonstar knows he is also Eagle. His eyes are shining with joy. How special it is to have inner knowing
inside him as Eagle.
Moonstar
became still suddenly remembering why he wanted Eagle's guidance. His exuberance of discovering Eagle's name
caused him momentarily to forget his quest.
So many exciting happenings are coming to him.
