About the Book

If beauty lives, it lives in this book, haunting, penetrating, and everlasting.  It is the adult story of two children, unrelated, who grew up together and while doing so, created a living memorial greater than themselves.

The book is a story of dedication, tragedy and human sacrifice, which transcends the characters who created a living legend.

It is the story of Brice Wilcox and Taffy Morgan and the influences that led them to plant an old, abandoned hillside with daffodils.  Their struggles, perseverance and final achievement.  It is a story of the personal cost to Brice, his mental illness, its causes and how he and those he loved and who loved him enabled him to overcome his troubles and both create and find an everlasting beauty, to fill, and ultimately satisfy his life.

About the Author

Jean Kvavle, nee Wallace, was born in Orpington, county Kent, England, then a quaint village, now a part of greater London.  She often visits her native land and her relatives still living there.  She now resides in a flowered cottage in the Pacific Northwest.  A lover of nature, and the botanical world, she delights in gardening, and the growing of unusual plants, fruits and berries.  Her writing betrays her tastes and her ease with nature.
