On Holy Ground

from Elisha, What Does This Man Possess?

I watched Elisha walk off and I thought him to be such a humble man.  He was well aware of the source of power that had been displayed.  The angel said to me, “God’s miracle working power is very much alive today.  But most people simply refuse to believe that God is able.  There are those chosen to walk in the shadows of Elisha and the prophets of old, in a slightly different facet.  But their lack of obedience and lack of trust in God prevents them from calling forth that which is to be.  The spiritual realm is so entwined with this world, yet God’s people continue to try to separate it.  It is not to be separated, for God’s warriors and angels roam the Earth.  The Lord is upon the Earth.  Elisha could see, by the grace of God, that the spiritual realm hovers over this land.  He called forth that which he was able to see at the prompting of God’s words in his heart.”

From Bethrothed

My God, how blissful this union is with you.  Yet, my pain at being so confined to my finite body is ever present in my heart.  It struggles to find a way to release itself and soar upon the wings of angels.  But you, oh Lord, lift it high upon your hand and hold it to your breast.  My soul buries itself deep within your breast wishing never to depart.  Do not betray your betrothed and send her back to her menial existence!  Yet to suffer the desire and hunger to be within you, reminds me that you are never truly far away.  You know my pain of not soaring with you.  You will return to walk with me in the garden again.  You will once again hold forth your hand and take me with you, giving me a reprieve from the pain of being separated from you that resides within my heart.

Please do not forget me as I wait once more for you to have mercy on this wretched soul and come to take me within your spirit.  Sweet union that is savored above all else, this soul surely needs in order for it to survive in the body that carries it.  Betrothed?  Yes, Lord.  I would not want to utter anything else.  For it is the highest honor that this soul could ever possibly hope for, live for, or love for.  Please do not forget your betrothed, the one you have claimed for your own.  Save me from living apart from your sweet presence, for this soul would surely die in its grief and despair.
