About the Book

This book is written by a Christian pastor who has dared to publicly confront the Christian church in America regarding numerous areas of compromise, double standards and blatant hypocrisy.

Mr. Bechthold unveils many church doctrines which actually contradict the Bible and malign the character of God. He alleges many in church leadership to be guilty of unfaithfulness to their calling, and uses scripture to expose them as "blind watchmen".

He clearly demonstrates from the Bible that today's church has exalted man's opinions over Bible truth. He also shows the connection between the church's current sinful state, and the false teachings circulating through the church.

This book confronts a combination of issues that no other book has, including the materialism and selfishness within the church. Pastor Bechthold boldly calls the church to account. All Christians will be awakened, alarmed and challenged by this book.

About the Author

Henry Bechthold is the pastor of a non-denominational Christian church in Minneapolis, Minnesota.  He has been studying, teaching, and preaching the Bible for over twenty years.  He is also the founder of Inner City Outreach, a ministry that provides new clothing for the poor and homeless.

His passion for the Christian church is to have it become Bible based, and return to true ministry, following the example of Jesus; and to set a more consistent example, by practicing what it preaches.  His personal experience within the church, and his biblical studies have prompted him to write this book; because of his deep conviction that today’s Christian church in America is guilty of numerous compromises, inconsistencies, double standards, teaching erroneous doctrines, and blatant hypocrisy.
