About the Book
Hobo is a page-turner that will keep mystery lovers
guessing to the last page, as well as leaving a lump in their throat, if not
tears on their pillow. The story is set
in a small, quiet Louisiana town that is turned upside-down by the brutal
murder of a beautiful and popular high school girl, daughter of the town’s
mayor and Methodist church minister, and an active leader in the church’s youth
programs. When a mild-mannered deaf
mute hobo who periodically visits the town is fingered as the prime suspect,
sheriff’s deputies embark on what they expect to be a routine investigation
only to learn that the murder victim had a sinister, secretive side unknown to
those around her. The deputies’ quest
for the truth quickly develops into an odyssey of deceit, cover-ups, hypocrisy,
and unexpected criminal activity by not only the murder victim herself, but
some of her friends and the adult movers and shakers of the local area. As more and more facts are uncovered, the
very foundation of the town and its God-fearing citizens begins to crack, until
it is shattered by the shocking conclusion.
