Poppies Joy

My deepest emotion is the love I have for my child. Just to see you smile makes your poppy proud. When they said, you were a baby boy, something took control of me.

My essence, my image, I could not wait to see. Predicting that you will be tall and look just like your daddy. Your complexion comes from her, the rest from your daddy.

As you become older, you will understand that things are not always the way they seem to be. I know you will understand, because you are a special part of me. My first born, my first joy, the sweetest life I have ever seen.

I’m sorry I can’t be with you, the world can be so mean (but deep inside my heart) there is a heavenly place you rest. I will never give up on you. My breath has not been takin’ yet.

Your name holds power, and power is what you are. Your more than poppies baby. You’re my shining star.

Not a night goes by, that I don’t think of you. My son, my joy, poppa always love you.

Hey Granny, How you doing? I’ve gotten older now; Listen to your grandson-it’s getting colder now. I got one baby momma deeply mean to me

But I keep my head tight cause it’s the real in me. And everyday I take a step, I know you right there with me. Plus I kept all the lessons that you put off in me.

You said birds of a feather, (really flock together) and it ain’t what you do, it’s how you do that makes you clever.

I know you watch the whole family, how we grew apart, but you told me that happen from the very start.

And them doctors couldn’t say what you were going through. Had you running back & forth like it was all in you.

Thought everything was all good, it was just my luck, by the time they found, Cancer ate you up.

Granny, the whole family flipped, but I kept my head, and I’m gonna keep you in my heart. Till we meet again.
