About the Book

Along the sunny beaches off Florida’s east coast there was a man that was the incarnation of a heavenly angel. Gabriel Sargent was a successful businessman that spent his life and his fortune in the advocation and adoration of the American woman.

His disappearance and the death of his female partner started an investigation that led up to the heavens and into the embrace of a heavenly angel. This was the same angel the Lord has used as a messenger during the creation of all the world’s great religions.

Philip Morton is the lead detective on the case and is visited by an apparition that leads him to a successful conclusion, or at least he thought so.

The story starts out on the beautiful and secluded Island of Jupiter where the family has a winter home. The island is inhabited by the super rich and others who pretend to be.

A local interior decorator, Susanna Safire, is retained to refurbish the living room of the home and Gabriel Sargent became captivated by her. The girl induces him to agree to a merger of their two companies. Her goal is to gain an appointment to the board of directors of the giant G & M Company Foundation. In that position there would be access to large sums of money that is used for charitable purposes.

The story shifts from Florida to Chicago where the company maintains its headquarters.

There is an investigation into the death of Susanna being conducted by the detective Philip Morton. There are some people that view the disappearance of Gabriel Sargent  as an act of God and the detective is inclined to believe it but is never fully convinced.

The death of the girl is tied to the disappearance of the wealthy man. And in his sleep Philip Morton observes a vision and receives a message by some one he perceives to be Gabriel, the heavenly angel of the Lord or the ghost of the missing millionaire. In this apparition the secrets of the man’s departure and the theft of his Foundation’s money are brought to light. After an intensive investigation the guilty one is exposed and the murder mystery is solved.
