UNITED
On September 11, 2001
Everyone woke to the bright morning sun
Children to school
Parents to work
When life as we knew it
Suddenly went up in a cloud of smoke
Two planes driven by evil
Flew into two of New York’s prides
Sending people running
And a nation asking
WHY?
Some want justice, some want revenge
Most wish to find there fallen friends
Many were injured
Even more died
Yet a nation grew together with hope and pride
Evil may have entered our lives on this day
But the songs of Jesus
In our hearts did they stay
For united we have gathered
United we will stand
United we will protect our promised land

About the Book
This is a book of inspirational, patriotic poems
that were written from my life's experiences. These poems have been
inspirational to others I have shared them with and are still inspirational to
my children and myself.
About the Author
She's a Christian, a devoted mother of three. She
wrote her first poem in Sept. 2001 titled UNITED. After sharing her poem with
many people some of who suggested she write professionally and after a
conversation with her cousin in August 2002 she discovered the talent of poetry
that God had given to her. The poems she writes come from what ever God lays on
her heart to write. Her poems UNITED and FUTURES HOPE have been published in
The Eternal Portraits Series through poetry.com
